In the course of his two-day visit to Ukraine to celebrate the 5th anniversary of VTB Bank (Ukraine), Andrei Kostin, VTB Bank President and Chairman of the Management Board, who headed VTB delegation, was received by Viktor Yanukovych, President of Ukraine, Mykola Azarov, Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, and Sergei Tigipko, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, reported the press-centre of VTB.

Andrei Kostin raised the issue of developing VTB Group business in Ukraine during the one-hour meeting with the Ukrainian President. The key topic of the conversation was the intent of the Russian bank to extend its presence in the Ukrainian investment banking and insurance markets. Viktor Yanukovych expressed his steadfast support to VTB’s plans, emphasizing his country’s interest in investment banking development.
