OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2010. SUN InBev starts social program “We’ll Live Here!” in 2010 with spring subbotniks in several Russian cities, reported the press-centre of SUN InBev.

Employees of SUN InBev, their families, townspeople and representatives of local authorities will spend forthcoming week-end together cleaning up the streets of Klin, Ivanovo, Kursk, Volzhskiy, Saransk, Novocheboksarsk, Perm, Omsk and Angarsk after long winter. Everyone wishing to participate in the cleaning of the cities would be welcomed by the atmosphere of festive spring day and real field cousine.

Spring subbotniks has become an important part of annual corporate events of SUN InBev. SUN InBev arranged its first spring subbotnik in 2002. Since then the project has become the part of long-term national program for cities renovation “We’ll Live Here!” This program is realized within the ”Anheuser-Bush InBev”. It is focused on social projects in regions where there the company enterprises are located, and also on development of culture of responsible consumption of alcohol, reduction of negative impact on environment.

This year subbotniks “We’ll live here!” complimented the ecological targets for 2010 declared earlier by the company. In particular, it provides that by the end of 2010 the company will reach 95 percentage levels of an industrial waste processing (88 % - in 2009). Also it is planned to lower by 10 % current energy consumption per hectoliter, quantity of consumed water – by 12 %, CO2 emissions - by 10 %.

Subbotniks will be followed by the events dedicated to World Environment Day which is celebrated in the beginning of June,. During a year "SUN InBev" also will restore parks and squares, carry out competitions on an accomplishment of court yard, created athletic fields, will open Christmas skating rinks, will realize regional social projects.

"Subbotniks are just one of the many activities which the company realizes in the framework of “Better World" concept, - Corporate Affairs Director "SUN InBev", Irina Arkhipova has said, making comments on the beginning of the traditional annual program, - "Subbotniks are part of the Russian culture which combines work with productive leisure. We are glad that together with our partners we can bring the feasible contribution to the creation of more comfortable environment around us".
