OREANDA-NEWS. April 26, 2010. Uralmashplant has participated in the 7th International exhibition of petroleum and petrochemical equipment organized at Damascus in April 5-8, 2010. Uralmashplant exposition has provided complete information on its drilling rigs, including mobile, stationary and cluster-drilling models as well as on various drilling equipment.

Minister for Oil and Mineral resources Mr. S. Al-Alevi along with Head of Syrian Oil Company Mr. Omar Al-Hamad, SOC managers and specialists have visited Uralmashplant booth. Also Uralmashplant representatives have held a number of meetings with specialists of service companies currently operating in Syrian market.

At present Syrian Oil Company operates 11 Uralmashplant drilling rigs. Uralmashplant delivered four of them in 2004. These are Uralmash 600 ДЭР rigs well-known for their state-of-the-art design. At present Uralmashplant delivers drilling equipment spare parts and separate units to SOC which is provided by the contract. In the near future Uralmashplant plans to tender for a delivery contract.

SYROIL exhibition is biennial and enjoys full support from Ministry of Oil and Mineral resources. This year 265 companies from 41 countries participated in SYROIL.
