OREANDA-NEWS. April 26, 2010. OAO TATNEFT received a letter of gratitude from R.N. Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, with appreciation to the staff of the Company for work for the benefit of the Republic and a worthy contribution of the Company in the socio-economic development of Tatarstan, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.    

The Letter has been sent to TATNEFT on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Regional Association of Employers' “Association of enterprises and entrepreneurs of the Republic of Tatarstan" (ROR “APP RT”). Inter alia, the letter states: "The high professional level of managers, workers and employees of your Company improves the quality of products yielded ensuring competitiveness of OAO TATNEFT named after V.D. Shashin. Along with other members of the Association your Company is an active participant in the social partnership system of our Republic, which is an important factor of improving the life quality of the people living in Tatarstan".

TATNEFT occupies a principally responsible position in its business. The Company is one of the biggest taxpayers in the Republic and the Russian Federation providing for more than 100 thousand job positions. The share of TATNEFT accounts for about 30% of budget revenues in Tatarstan and the Company is a leader in the added value generation. TATNEFT has actively promoted implementation of priority national development programs in the fields of small and medium-sized businesses, health care, education quality improvement, provision of affordable and comfortable housing for the Company’s employees and the citizens of the Republic.
