OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2010. Tatarstan already faces the danger of forest fires. Russian Emergency Ministry says the situation may be much worse than last year.

24-hour monitoring is maintained with the help of GLONASS. All special transport vehicles of fire brigades are monitored in real time, in order to send them to the fire source as soon as possible.

GLONASS monitoring center in Kazan has been acquiring fire cautions regularly within last week. All urban and federal roads are under round-the-clock monitoring. Doctors and rescue brigades are on duty in special “safety centers” located in a way to maintain prompt response to any hazard.
