TNK Retail Sites Receive 2010 Golden Networks Award
OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2010. The TNK retail network managed by TNK-BP became one of the winners of the VIII All-Russian Golden Networks 2010 competition and was awarded the first prize in the Retail Stations category. The competition reflects an independent and professional assessment of businesses by consumers, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.
The TNK retail network comprises about 1,300 service stations in more than 20 regions of Russia. Out of this number, over 700 service stations are company-owned, and over 600 are owned by jobbers, i.e. independent operators who are supplied fuel and carry the TNK brand and fully comply with TNK-BP standards.
In 2010, TNK-BP will continue to develop the TNK retail network, which includes renovation of existing sites and construction of new service stations. The new TNK brand offer includes introduction of a number of new services, such as a 24-hour TNK Express convenience store, coffee machine, tyre inflation, etc.
Our new branded fuel, TNK Pulsar with octane grades 95 and 92, is being sold through the TNK network. TNK Pulsar has improved environmental characteristics and extends engine lifetime thanks to increased cleaning power. The Pulsar branded fuel complies with Euro-4 requirements and was developed by TNK-BP experts with the use of innovative technologies. The Pulsar is currently available in Moscow, the Rostov and Krasnodar regions. This fuel will eventually become available to consumers in all TNK retail regions.
Information for editors:
The All-Russian Golden Networks Competition was established in 2002 and is the largest competition of achievements in the Russian retail industry. The Golden Networks competition is open to all general merchandise, foodservice and other retail networks. The Golden Networks awards cover a broad range of general and specialist categories.
The TNK brand is a market leader in petroleum products in many regions of Russia. The main argument in favor of TNK service stations is the confidence in fuel quality. TNK-BP’s quality control system across the supply chain from the refinery to the gas nozzle guarantees the highest quality of our products. The fuel is subject to quality checks for regulatory compliance upon delivery at storage depots and subsequently prior to offloading from fuel trucks at retail sites. Furthermore, samples are taken from storage tanks for analysis and control in test laboratories. Another distinctive feature of the TNK and BP service stations is a wide range of additional services. These include fueling assistance, vacuum cleaners, free toilets, tyre inflation, and water. The service station framework includes a modern convenience store.
