OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2010. The International Monetary Fund has unveiled World Economic Outlook (WEO 2010), where it came to sudden conclusions in respect to Azerbaijan.

According to WEO 2010, consumer inflation in Azerbaijan will make up 4.7% against 1.5% in 2009. In 2011 it is going to fall to 3.5% and in 2015 reach only 3%.

Among the other international financial institutions the IMF gives the most optimistic inflation forecast on the country. This forecast is even less than the low level of expert estimates made by the Azerbaijan State Statistics Committee (5-8%). Country’s inflation over the past quarter of 2010 already totaled 3.8%.
