Turkmen Aviators Develop Freight Route
OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2010. The Turkmenhowayollary State National Service began its regular cargo service on the route Ashgabat-Istanbul-Ashgabat. Twice a week IL-76TD aircraft will make cargo flights delivering various goods for the enterprises of Turkmenistan.
According to the Turkmenhowayollary State National Service, the new route was opened to broaden a range of services provided to clients of the Turkmen airlines.
Various goods including construction materials, equipment, devices, spare parts, consumer goods are delivered along the new route. The domestic textile and oil and gas enterprises, the foreign companies such as Bouygues, Polimeks and others and entrepreneurs use all-cargo service rendered by the Turkmenhowayollary State National Service.
All-cargo services is an important aspect of the activities of the Turkmenhowayollary State National Service. The expected expansion of geography of cargo flights geography will enable to receive additional earnings and increase the cost-effectiveness of air transportation.
Civil aviation in Turkmenistan is dynamically developed through the overall support of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. New aircrafts are bought and airports are modernized and constructed in order to meet the needs of the Turkmenhowayollary Service. All these measures allow expanding geography of international flights including passenger and cargo service.
