OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2010. Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 4% on the year in January-March 2010 to 31.947 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br), an official with Belarus’ National Statistics Committee told.

Industrial output in January-March increased 5.9% on the year to 33.484 trillion rubles.

Farm output rose 5.3% to 3.53 trillion rubles.

In 2009, Belarus’ GDP grew 0.2% on the year to 136.8 trillion Belarusian rubles. Industrial output amounted to 123.2 trillion rubles, down 2.8% on the year. Farm output increased 1.3% to 26.5 trillion rubles.
