OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2010. Tomsk branch of SOGAZ Insurance Group has won the closed competition for the right to sign insurance agreements with OJSC Siberian Chemical Works (OJSC SCW), one of the world’s largest nuclear centers, reported the press-centre of SOGAZ.

According to the tender results, SOGAZ will provide voluntary health insurance to more than 11,000 employees of OJSC SCW and general liability insurance of the company for the transportation of nuclear materials, radioactive matter, their products and waste.
The insurer’s aggregate limit of liability under voluntary health insurance will amount to RUB 60 million, under general liability – RUB 4.76 billion.

Currently, OJSC Siberian Chemical Works, the leading manufacturer of nuclear fuel for nuclear power industry, incorporates seven plants, HPPs and a number of secondary subdivisions. OJSC SCW is the core company of the closed administrative entity Seversk.

In 2009, SOGAZ also insured general liability of OJSC SCW during operation of nuclear energy facilities as well as voluntary health insurance of the Company’s active and retired personnel.
