OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2010. Belarusian OAO Belsolod, the country’s only producer of malt, will take out a repayable budget loan amounting to 45 billion Belarusian rubles (Br) to complete a 90 billion-ruble upgrade project. The Belarusian president approved the decision to lend to Belsolod on April 5.

The reconstruction is aimed at doubling malt output to 130,000 tonnes annually. “Of the total, 55% will be exported, generating USD 15-20 million in currency revenues annually,” the press service of the president said.

Belsolod was established in 1996.
