OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2010. JSC “EMAlliance” Project on development of industrial production of new generation power equipment made of nanopatterned steels operational under ultra supercritical steam parameters was approved by Scientific and technical council of State Corporation “Rosnanotech” and recommended to Board of Control and Supervisory Council of SC “Rosnanotech” for financing.

On the first stage the project provides for construction of working demonstration installation with the components of nanopatterned steels consisting of one steam power unit with the capacity 30 MWT at steam ultra supercritical parameters with the efficiency not less 44% and atmospheric harmful emissions per EN norms.

The construction of industrial power unit with the capacity 660 MWt at ultra supercritical steam parameters and efficiency in the range 45..47%, complete with up-to-date samples of domestic boiler –turbine and auxiliary equipment, protection facilities and processing automatic control is stated for the second stage of the project realization. Moreover the engineering center establishing is planned as a part of project realization. The EC is expected to coordinate all scientific and research as well as production works.

The participation of SC “Rasnanotech”, JSC “EMAlliance”, JSC “Power machines”, JSC “InterRAO EEC”, SSC RF NPO “TSNIITMASH”, JSC “VTI” and BelGU is stated in the project realization.

The project will be executed at InterRAO EEC production sites. The volume of investments for the first phase of the project is tentatively estimated as 6 billion rubles. Execution period for the first stage of the project is 3 years.

According to project participants estimates construction and commissioning of power units with higher steam parameters give an opportunity to increase power facilities efficiency and annual saving of fuel equivalent from 79,8 to 133,1 mln tones. These power generating units provide level recession of harmful substances specific atmospheric emissions and permit to prevent carbon equivalent annual atmospheric emissions from 36,8 tо 61,5 mln. tones.

President of JSC “EMAlliance” Timur Avdeenko stated that domestic energy saving ecologically clean coal utilization technologies would allow to develop on the new level Russian coal energetic and gradually release considerable volume of natural gas for use in CCPP in electrical energy and other industries.

“The project realization involving state companies and leading scientific institutes will allow providing of manufacture of standard high technology products, increasing competitive advantage of Russian power industry and domestic power machine building industry, creating basis for export of high technology products”- he added.
