OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2010. Energy Consulting has won a tender on conducting audit (expression of an opinion on reliability of the financial statements and on compliance of the accounting procedures with the RF legislation) in the MECHEL Group once again. The Audit will be conducted in 38 companies of the Group. This project involves more than 60 employees of Energy Consulting, reported the press-centre of Energy Consulting.

Tatiana Rumyantseva, Head of the Energy Consulting/Audit Division, remarks: "We are happy, of course, to have won the tender for 2 straight years on auditing the financial statements of the MECHEL Group in compliance with the Russian Accounting Standards. I consider it is an indicator of our qualified works during the implementation of the similar project in 2009".

"It is a good chance for us to check the fulfillment of the applied unified regulations to the accountancy in all our companies, let alone that the regular audit is a legislative requirement and its successfulness influences on the upswing operation of the corporation", added Stanislav Ploshchenko, Senior Vice President in Finance in OJSC MECHEL.
