Softline International Azerbaijan and Azerfon LLC have announced signing of a contract for Microsoft Enterprise Agreement – a program of corporate licensing designed for organization with quantity of at least 250 and ready to choose Microsoft platform as corporate standard.

“The agreement with Softline on use of Microsoft licensed products will enable Azerfon to use software of higher quality to solve its own business tasks. Choice of Softline is not accidental as Azerfon has introduced repeatedly different solutions with support of the software licensing leader.  Use of licensed products by us testifies Azerfon’s conformity to modern principles of business transparency and goal orientation to world standards of partnership in business2business format. We are one of the few large Azerbaijani companies which use Microsoft licensed product at such a level. On the threshold of the World Day of Intellectual Property Protection this agreement is of special importance not only for us but also for entire Azerbaijani business. I am sure that our decision will serve an example for other domestic companies in software licensing,” claimed Felix Wass, Azerfon’s general director for operation affairs.

“Azerfon’s IT management has applied quite skillful approach to issues of software acquisition and use technology of license management. The major challenge was not simply to legalize used software but also to optimize it with help of production and business processes. We suggested a program of corporate licensing Microsoft Enterprise Agreement, first of all to diminish risks of use of unlicensed software as for period of Agreement validity the customer gets the right to use licensed products in organization’s all computers, including new personal computers added after document signing. An individual scheme of payments developed by the Softline specialists will enable to reduce financial burden,” said Alim Salakhov, the director of Softline in Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of Microsoft Enterprise Agreement payment of licenses is carried out on the three-year instalment plan that allows reducing the burden on annual budget. Under the contract conditions the company has the right to install software products in computers acquired after contract signing and payment for added licenses is carried out at the moment of the next charge. An important advantage of the chosen option of licensing is inclusion of subscription for renewals enabling to use fresh versions of products, patches ensuring safety of information system of the customer and its constant development in compliance with world tendencies.
