Azerbaijani Population Power Charge Dropped to 86%
OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2010. The Azerbaijani government says that this March charge from the population totaled only 86.6%. This February the index made up 97.7%, as well as in December 2009 (the best index in 2009) after this January’s decline to 74.8%.
In 2009 charge made up 88.1% and for Jan-Mar 2010 – 86.1%.
This March the best indicators were registered in Balaken region (108.1%), Shirvan (101.2%) and Ganja (98.7%) cities.
In Baku where the major part of power consumers is concentrated the charge made up 85.3% in March.
For Jan-Mar 2010 the power charge leaders were Sumgait (197.5%), Shirvan city (101.6%), and Neftchala region (94%). In Baku charge over the first quarter reached 80.7%.
In 2009 the charge leaders were Hajigabul district (106.9%), Shirvan city (106.4%) and Zardab region (104.6%), while charge in Baku totaled 90.1%.
Power charge by over 100% of consumed electricity cost is linked with repayment of previous power debts.
