OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2010. In accordance with order No.71 of Russian Technologies State Corporation dated April 01, 2010, Sergey Gennadyevich Belov is appointed General Director of State Transport Company Rossiya from April 02, 2010. Mr. Belov was employed by by FSUAE Pulkovo (later succeeded by FSUE STC Rossiya) since 1974 to 2006.

Sergey Gennadyevich mentioned that together with the staff of STC Rossiya he will have to implement a new strategy and meet the challenges resulting from the modified governmental approach to the management of federal airlines. The decision to put the Rossiya under control of the national airlines Aeroflot was adopted by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mr. V. V. Putin on February 02, 2010.

The former head of the company Roman Viktorovich Pakhomov was removed from post on April 01, 2010. In his declaration Roman Viktorovich thanked the staff of STC Rossiya for their joint contribution to maintenance and strengthening of the company’s positions. In his turn, Sergey Gennadyevich Belov pointed out the key role that Roman Viktorovich Pakhomov had played in leading the company out of the crisis and thanked his predecessor for the work done.
