OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2010. The JSC “Grobina” informs that on November 30, 2009 it received the Council Member Silvija Neimane's notice of resignation from the position of Council Member and on  December 10, 2009 it received the Council Member Janis Briedis' notice of resignation from the position of Council Member.

On  March  4, 2010 the JSC “Grobina” extraordinary shareholders' meeting elected a new Council in the following composition:

Chairman of the Council - Janis Silins (owns 30162 shares of the JSC “Grobina”)

Deputy Chairman of the Council - Gunars Laugalis (does not own any shares of the JSC “Grobina”)

Members of the Council - Janis Meijubers (owns 55 000 shares of  JSC “Grobina”) Dagmara Slosberga (does not own any shares of the JSC “Grobina”) Aivars Zvagulis (does not own any shares of the  JSC “Grobina”)

Professional Experience of the Council Members

Gunars Laugalis has been a premature pensioner since 2009. From 2006 to 2008 he worked as a supervisor of communications erection at the “Citrus Solutions”, Ltd.; from 1994 to 2006 he was a department manager, a construction expert at  the “Lattelecom”, Ltd.

Janis Meijubers is a Chairman of the Board and a partner at the “Briede, Vindedze un Meijubers”, Ltd. From 1992 to 2001 he was a financial director and a chief accountant of the “Lapa”, Ltd., he performed additional work in the position of a financial controller at Stockholm School of Economics in Riga; from 1986 to 1992 he was a research associate at Latvian State Institute of Agriculture. From 1976 to 1982 J. Meijubers studied at the University of Latvia, he was awarded the qualification of economist. In 1997 he was awarded the qualification of sworn auditor.   J. Meijubers owns 55 000 shares of the JSC “Grobina”. 
   
Aivars Zvagulis has been the manager of Liepaja City Council Social Service Centre „Aprupe majas" (home care) since 2000. From 1999 to 2000 he was an inspector at the JSC “Liepajas siltums”; from 1996 to 1999 he worked as an insolvency process administrator at the “Livonija”, Ltd. Priekule KUK; from 1993 to 1996 he worked in the banking system. From 1991 to 1993 A. Zvagulis was the director of the “Helikons”, Ltd.; from 1991 to 1966 he worked for trade unions and municipalities. In 2007 he received a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology at Riga Higher School of Pedagogy and Education. Additional education - certified in labour protection and basic labour legislation; seminars - Budget Fiscal Management, Elaboration of Projects, Quality Management and  Self-Assessment in Social Institutions, Requirements for Conclusion of Labour Contracts.
 
Dagmara Slosberga has experience as a Council Member at the JSC “Agroprojekts”, a labour protection inspector at the trade union of the JSC “Agroprojekts”. From 2006 to 2009 she worked as an IT for the Connection Division of the Development Department of the JSC “Sadales tikls”, JSC “Latvenergo”;  as a designer, a certified project group manager,  a certified supervisor of repair and construction works for „Liepajas Energoserviss”, Ltd.; from  2005 to 2006 she was an electrical engineer at  the JSC „Latvenergo” Liepaja Electrical Grid Area,; from 1964 to 1996 she worked as a design engineer, a group manager at the JSC “Agroprojekts”; from 1960 to 1964 she worked for “Liepaja TEC un tikli” (Liepaja Thermoelectric Power Plant and Grids) as a tester of measuring instruments at the Electric Meters Laboratory and as an electrical inspector in the  Power Distribution Service. Additional education - regular efficiency courses and seminars with the goal to receive certificates.

Audit Committee

The JSC “Grobina” informs that on February 19, 2010 it received Ginta Silava and Janis Briedis' applications for dismissal from the position of Audit Committee Member.

As the notice of convocation of the extraordinary shareholders' meeting on March 4, 2010 was published previously it was impossible to include the issue related to the election of a new Audit Committee in the agenda of the extraordinary shareholders' meeting.  Therefore this issue has been included in the announced agenda of the JSC “Grobina” ordinary shareholders' meeting, which will be held on April 23, 2010.
