Krasnoyarsk Synthetic Rubber Plant Tested New Antioxidant
OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2010. Krasnoyarsk Synthetic Rubber Plant (KZSK), an affiliate of SIBUR, tested an antioxidant (Agidol-2) for batch production of nitrile butadiene rubbers.
Styrene butadiene rubber articles are widely used as completing units of motor vehicles, aircraft, and agricultural and other equipment.
A production change-over to the new antioxidant at КЗСК will improve key quality indicators of rubber: color retention, plasticity, and resistance to temperature changes. The economic benefit from introduction of the new technology will exceed 7 million rubles per annum due to double reduction of the antioxidant content.
SIBUR is already using Agidol-2 in manufacture of synthetic rubbers at the Voronezh plant.
Nitrile butadiene rubbers production capacity at KZSK is about 38 thou tpy. It is planned that from May 2010 the entire volume of products, of which China is the main end user, will be released using the new antioxidant.
