OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2010. Participating in the FIDAE’2010 exhibition, which took place in Chile, members of delegation of ANTONOV State Aircraft Building Concern held a number of meetings and negotiations with the representatives of industrial enterprises, airlines and military departments of the countries of Latin America. Possible participation of companies of Chile, Argentina and Peru in cooperation on production and maintenance of ANTONOV aircrfat was agreed. In particular, the corresponding Memorandum on Mutual Agreement with Mr. Pedro Baskunian Hara, Executive Director of ENAER plant (Chile), was signed. Minutes of the negotiations with Mr.Raul Paz, Director of Laviasa company, Executive Director of Chamber of Aeronautica and Industry of Argentina, was also signed. This document specifies decision of number of questions concerning leasing, purchase and manufacture of ANTONOV aircraft. Prospect of such a cooperation is very important because promotion of ANTONOV products to the market of countries of Latin America depends on its successful development.

During the exhibition, Minister of Defence of Chile, Commander-in-Chief of Paraguay’s Navy, representatives of Peruvian Navy, aviation administration of Columbia were familiarized with the modern and perspective programmes of ANTONOV. They noted a high potential of AN-148 regional jet of a new generation and its transport versions, AN-74 multi-purpose aircraft, AN-32 light transport, which may be widely used in countries of Latin America.
