OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2010. According to decision of the Board of Directors, FBK do not take part in annual ratings of auditors and consultants for 2009. Commenting upon this decision Sergey Shapiguzov noted that, with regard to transfer of auditors to self-regulation “it’s time to change the format of ratings itself”.

“One of tasks of SRO is introduction of register of its members. It is very important to have an open register available on internet, so that not only addresses and telephones of audit companies would be published there but also a number of quantity characteristics such as volume of receipts”, FBK President noted. According to him “complete, reliable and available register of auditors and audit organizations is among the main tools helping to understand what profession of auditor is, what is happening on our market”.

Sergey Shapiguzov also emphasized that “in this case ratings will be complied almost automatically; the principle task of rating agencies will be correct designation of audit group working under one brand”.
