Aeroflot Expects 2009 Net Income of USD 100 mn
OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2010. The net income of USD 100 million anticipated by management is generally in line with market expectations, while plans to increase a free float may exert pressure on Aeroflot stock valuations in the short term.
Aeroflot general director Vitaly Savelyev has reported on April 8 that the company expects net income in 2009 of USD 100 million under IFRS. He has added that the shares received as part of the transaction with National Reserve Corporation may be used to boost the free float.
In general, the expected net income is generally in line with market expectations. According to Bloomberg, the consensus forecast for Aeroflot’s net income in 2009 is USD 107 million. We had expected the company to make a net profit of USD 137 million in 2009.
