OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2010. Joint working group of Roscosmos and the Government of Rostov region held a meeting to discuss the issues related to ground application of space technologies. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Governor Alexander Noskov, and and Deputy Head of Roscosmos Ground Control, Communication, Navigation Space Systems Directorate Victor Ashurkov.

Also attending, there were NPK RECOD DG V. Bezborodov and NPP KVANT DG V. Motin.

The working group deals with documenting major milestones of the regional special program of 2011-2013 “Application of space technologies for social and economical development of Rostov region”.

Further steps imply construction of the regional Space Service Center on the basis of SW developed by NPK RECOD.

NPK RECOD and Sothern Federal University signed a Cooperation Agreement on training and professional development of the space technology application specialists.

The meeting laid stable foundation for further evolution of the cooperation between Roscosmos and the Government of Rostov region.
