OREANDA-NEWS. April 08, 2010. The solemn prize presentation ceremony for awarding the prize-winners with "Ugur" National Award took place in "Gulistan" palace. This prize is awarded to the most outstanding and dynamic companies in Azerbaijan market. Following the results of 2009, 29 companies were named the prizewinners. The organizers awarded the prizes to the companies that operate in sphere of finance, industry, telecommunications and IT (Information Technologies), transportation and construction, business services, mass-media, education and medicine. The "International Insurance Company" (IIC) became one of this year's prizewinners "For introduction of innovations in Azerbaijan insurance market". Before the presentation of award to IIC, the ceremony attendees had been shown a video clip covering the company's activity and successes, making the special mention of the company's main accomplishments in 2009: for the first time in Azerbaijan insurance market, the introduction of ONLINE sales of insurance policies via the company's web-site www.iic.az; successful receipt of International Certificate of Management System Quality "ISO 9001:2008"; receipt of the highest rating of financial stability among the country's insurance companies (insurance financial strength rating, IFSR) at the level of "B2", with the rating forecast - "stable" awarded by the international rating agency "Moody's Investment Company"; opening of company's new branch office in the city of Sumgait.

During the ceremony, in the hall of "Gulistan" palace, the "International Insurance Company" held a promotional action, in the course of which all visitors could receive a 20% complimentary discount coupon for certain insurance services.

It should be noted that this is the second time that IIC has received "Ugur" National Award. The company has first become the prizewinner 7 years ago by receiving the status of most successful insurance company in 2003.

The "International Insurance Company" has been established in 2002 by the "International Bank of Azerbaijan" and renders 37 kinds of insurance services. Following the results of the past year of 2009, the company is surely among the top three leaders of insurance market in Azerbaijan.
