OREANDA-NEWS. April 07, 2010. ROSNO’s Vladivostok branch has reimbursed a private entrepreneur for the damage resulting from stealage of warehoused goods in the amount of 1,058,087 roubles.

The foreign-made car tyres, purchased by the insurant using the bank loan and registered as a pledge, had been insured against a set of risks including the risk of burglary. Under the warehousing agreement concluded with the premise sub-tenant, the tyres had been placed for storage to the retail warehouse, where the stealage was subsequently performed.

On the basis of the fact of burglary, a criminal case was opened by the police authorities under the Article 158 Section 3 of the RF Criminal Code. In course of the investigation, a part of the goods was found and handed back to the insurant. The individuals committing the crime have not been identified yet. Upon presentation of all requested documents, OJSC IC ROSNO paid the insurant an insurance compensation in the amount of 1,058,087 roubles.
