Bank of Moscow Supports “Mission Possible” Contest
OREANDA-NEWS. April 07, 2010. The Rossiyskaya Gazeta press centre has hosted the awards ceremony for winners of the 3rd All-Russia creative competition "Mission Possible. Your Mission is a Financer!", organised by the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation for children finishing the senior classes of Russian schools. By tradition, the Bank of Moscow was official sponsor of the competition.
The aim of the given project is to provide talented youngsters from different Russian cities with the opportunity to study at the best known economic higher educational institutions in the country.
The competition consisted of several stages. During the first (external) round, 850 works were submitted. There were 202 competitors left for the second round and the 35 best of these were invited to the final of the competition in Moscow. On the basis of the results, the names of the 20 winners were announced, 5 of them to receive free education at the Financial Academy: Ekaterina Abrosimova (Moscow), Karina Ponomareva (Ryazan Region), Andrey Poroshin (Kaluga Region) Olga Savanina (Moscow Region) and Danil Smirnov (Moscow).
According to Mikhail Eskindarov, Rector of the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation, the competition justified itself fully. The project helped Russian school pupils realise their abilities and the Academy to acquire exceptional, talented students.
"I would like to congratulate all the competition participants without exception. By taking part in it, all the young people demonstrated a positive attitude to life and I am sure that this will continue to assist them in their studies and work. I am convinced that, having shown industriousness, knowledge and persistence in achieving their goals, they will definitely get into the Financial Academy, one of the best higher educational establishments in our country", noted Dmitry Akulinin, First Vice-President of the Bank of Moscow. "The Financial Academy is the alma mater of many Bank of Moscow personnel; it is a good school from both the professional and the human points of view. We know this because support for the competition among young finance experts is, for us, a sort of investment in the future. I believe that the best youngsters, dreaming of a career in the financial sphere, will most likely come to work at the Bank of Moscow after graduating."
