OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2010. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) imposed an administrative fine upon "Plastic" Ltd. (635,388 Rubles).

On 25th January 2010, FAS Russia found that "Plastic" Ltd. violated Clause 1 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (abusing market dominance).

"Plastic" Ltd. violated the law by fixing monopolistically high price in Q1 2009 for emulsion-polymerized polystyrene (PSE-1) used in manufacturing foamed plastic.

If an antimonopoly body recognized violation of the above provision of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition", it constitutes the grounds for imposing an administrative fine under Article 14.31of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations.
