In October 2008 prices totaled USD 85.89 per barrel. And today futures for oil of Brent grade rose up to USD 84.76.

In this connection Barclays Capital has already claimed that prices reached new 18-month maximum.

“Last quarter average forecast was USD 78 per barrel that turned out quite close to real figures. Now we are waiting USD 86 per American light oil in the 2nd quarter and USD 92 in the 3rd quarter,” Barclays Capital indicates.

Azeri export oil is traded usually by USD 1-2 per barrel less than American oil and in the 3rd quarter price for Azeri Light BTC FOB can exceed USD 90 with average forecast for the year (made for needs of State Budget of Azerbaijan) in USD 40 per barrel.
