Sea Port Kozmino Increases Transshipment
OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2010. 3, 245, 000 tons of oil were transshipped through the specialized oil loading sea port Kozmino within three months of 2010.
Transshipment of oil through Kozmino increases gradually. In February, transshipment of oil increased by 100, 000 tons in comparison with January, while in March, transshipment of oil increased by 245, 000 tons compared to February. In April 13 tankers are planned to be loaded there. Each batch of oil will make up 100, 000 tons. Thus, transshipment rates will increase by 50, 000 tons correspondingly.
During the first three months of 2010, 40% of oil was shipped to South Korea. The rest batches of oil were shipped to Japan, China, the USA, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore.
In general, tankers are loaded with batches of 100, 000 tons of export oil. But in March, tanker "Nordic Cosmos" was loaded with 145, 000 tons of oil. It has become the largest batch of oil since the time when oil-loading sea port Kozmino was put into operation.
