Ingosstrakh Paid Hull Insurance for 301,000 Vehicles in Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS. April 2, 2010. Total motor vehicles insured in 2009 by Ingosstrakh under hull insurance policy were 301,400 which is 17% more compared to the previous year. Almost 547,000 motor vehicle owners of these regions entrusted compulsory insurance of their motor third party liability to the company, and over 188,000 people insured their motor third party liability voluntarily.
The total amount of premium paid by Ingosstrakh OJSIC under motor vehicle insurance exceeded 18.6 bln rubles, of which 15.3 bln rubles were paid under hull insurance (8% increase compared to last year’s figures), 3.0 bln rubles under CMTPL insurance (12% increase) and 273 bln rubles under voluntary motor third party liability insurance (VMTPL) (15% increase).
The 2009 indemnity payments under motor liability insurance had amounted to 11.1 bln rubles (19% increase) including the 9.9 bln rubles under hull insurance (20% increase) and 1.1 bln rubles under CMPTL insurance (10% increase). The total monthly payments in Moscow Region averaged 930 mln rubles.
