OREANDA-NEWS. April 2, 2010. The program aimed at taking down dilapidated five-storey residential buildings will go on in Moscow within the next few years.

“City authorities plan to have 155 ramshackle five-storey homes demolished in 2011 and another 178 – in 2012,” said Yury Evseev, head of the department for rebuilding five-storey and dilapidated housing included in the Moscow Department of Urban Development.

“We plan to take 122 such structures down in 2010,” the official added.

According to Mr Evseev, 1,257 five-storey dwelling houses have already been demolished in Moscow that is 72.7 per cent of the program.
