OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2010. IDGC of Centre, JSC took decision to tighten regime of security of power grid complex facilities in view of terrorist attacks that took place on March 29, 2010 in Moscow subway.

Power engineers hardened requirements to physical and engineer security and protection of power facilities, inter-facility and access control. In case of emergency situations twenty-four-hour information exchange is provided at detection of explosive bombs. The Company established closer cooperation and interexchange of information on issues relating to diversionary terror act countermeasures with territorial subdivisions of Federal Security Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Emergencies Ministry of Russia. Sergey Mashchenko, Deputy General Director for Security of IDGC of Centre, JSC, supervises work in this direction.

“Terrorist activity countermeasures commissions have already been functioning in the branches of our Company for some years. We instruct personnel in actions at detection of signs of probable preparation of terrorist attacks and informing procedure of security and internal affairs bodies regularly. Our joint work intended to counterdiversionary and antiterrorist protection of facilities resulted in reliable and qualitative power supply of population in 11 regions of the Central Federal District of the county”, — Sergey Mashchenko emphasized.
