OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2010. Karelia is going to celebrate the 90th anniversary of its formation worthily. According to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation on implementation of investment projects related to this event, in 2009-2010 it is assigned 1 239,3 million roubles, including 608,5 million roubles from the funds of the federal budget and 630,8 million roubles from the budget of the republic.

– Last year, – chief of the department of the Ministry of Finance Vera Romanova says, – on construction and reconstruction of objects included in the Plan of main activities related to preparation and carrying out of celebrating of the 90th anniversary of formation of the Republic of Karelia, is has been assigned 851 million roubles, including 495 million roubles from the federal budget and 356 million roubles from the budget of the republic. Six objects were put into operation: Central Regional Hospital of Olonets, a 69-room apartment house in Sortavala for residents resettled from the island of Valaam, a new swimming pool with an aquapark in Kostomuksha, schools in the village of Sheltozero of Prionezhsk region and in the settlement of Sukkozero of Muezersky region, building and construction works on reconstruction of the first stage of water treatment works in Petrozavodsk are completed.

Solemn opening the first start-up facility of Kurgan republican sports complex was held in February. Construction of the second phase is planned with involvement of means of the federal budget within the scope of the federal target program Physical Training and Sports Development in the Russian Federation in 2006-2015.

In May it is planned to complete reconstruction of buildings of the Kantele State Ensemble of Dance and Song, the Karelian State Museum of Local History. Besides, this year works on construction of the sports and recreation center in Lahdenpohja, reconstruction of National Library in Petrozavodsk, the second phase of the obstetric-surgical building with a polyclinic meant for 105 visitings a day in the settlement Kalevala, as well as works on reconstruction of the second phase of water treatment works in Petrozavodsk proceed.

With involvement of means of the federal budget it is planned to construct a site of the motorway from Kochkoma to national frontier through Tiksha, Ledmozero and Kostomuksha and distribution gas pipeline (street network) in the station of Shuiskaya of Prionezhsky region within the scope of the federal target program Social Development of Rural Areas through to 2012.

According to experts of the Ministry of Finance, this year on construction and reconstruction of objects commemorating the 90th anniversary of formation of Karelia it is supposed to assign more than 600 million roubles.
