OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2010. The proposal to become a member of the Board of Directors was sent to the Head of Perm Administration by Mikhail Slobodin the President of “Integrated Energy Systems” CJSC.

 “I know Arkadiy for a long time and I am convinced in his professional experience, competence and ability to achieve the results. Therefore it is vital for IES-Holding that A.Kats will manage the work in this key direction. His knowledge and understanding of problems of the city infrastructure, the ways how to solve them will be useful within energy saving and energy efficiency projects implementation”, Mikhail Slobodin underlined.

Arkadiy Kats will head the corresponding committee at the Board of Directors, which will manage projects on Perm Territory and other territories of production activity of “Generation of Urals” Division within the scope of “Energy saving and energy efficiency increase” Federal Law, accepted in 2009.

Dmitry Medvedev the President of Russia called the regions to initiate such projects in his annual message to the Federal Assembly: “Energy efficiency increase and rational resource consuming are the priority objectives in our economics modernization”.

At the present time IES-Holding is realizing the pilot programs on energy efficiency increase in several regions of Russia. It is expected that the work on a similar project in Perm Territory will start in February 2010.

For Arkadiy Kats the work in power industry sector of the region is not new. In 2001-2004 he was a Chairman of the Regional Energy Committee of Perm Region. In 2001-2006 he was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of JSC “Permenergo” (in 2004-2005 was a member of the Board of Directors of OJSC “Territorial Generating Company No.9”).
