OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2010. CenterTelecom OJSC reports that it took part in donation of computer labs to Smolensk region's schools. Vaagn Martirosyan, General Director, CenterTelecom, in the course of a visit to Smolensk region attended the ceremony of computer lab opening in Krasnooktyabrskaya secondary school located in Mankovo, Kransinsky district, Smolensk region. 

In September 2009 CenterTelecom made decision on a donation of computer labs to Smolensk regions schools jointly with Amdox Solutions Ltd. On basis of information provided by Smolensk region's administration the companies selected two schools for this action: Krasnooktyabrskaya secondary school and Ershichskaya secondary school.

In late 2009 Amdox Solutions supplied 24 newest computers to the schools, and CenterTelecom's Smolensk branch delivered the computers to the schools, purchased materials and equipment for local network installation and provided Internet access for all computers. By the opening day CenterTelecom also donated an interactive whiteboard and a projector to Krasnooktyabrskaya school.

Computer labs are necessary tools for the schools which allow to use new training methods, to improve quality and accessibility of education, to develop students' potential, to meet their needs, to prepare them to independent life in information society, and to solve problems of the schools' development.
