Volga Shipping Company Starts Navigation on Lower Volga
OREANDA-NEWS. April 01, 2010. Two Volga-Don bulkers of Volga Shipping joint stock company that docked at the port of Buzan (Astrakhan region) to load sulfur started navigation today on the lower Volga. The dry cargo ships will carry the cargo to the port of Kavkaz (Krasnodar Territory). In April 2010, the company is planning to ship 150.000 tons of exported sulfur, to exceed by 40% last year's volumes. This year navigation en route Buzan - Port Kavkaz Volga Shipping Company to carry sulfur will use 35 ships of Volga-Don type. VSC has put into operation its 17 Volga-Don ships, the company press service said.
