OREANDA-NEWS. April 01, 2010. TNK-BP announces that the Saratov Refinery, which is part of the TNK-BP Group, returned to the planned targets in terms of throughput and product yields. This marks a successful completion of actions in response to the March 28 an ignition incident the crude distillation unit. The Company continued to honour its contractual supply obligations despite the temporary capacity decline.

“Thanks to the timely and seamless work of the Saratov Refinery experts and services the repairs took only a day and a half. This enabled the Refinery to return to the planned capacity already by the end of day on March 29. We have drawn a lesson from this incident and we will soon implement a number of technical measures to improve production safety at all Company’s enterprises”, said Leonid Rozenberg, Vice-President, Refining Operations.
