OREANDA-NEWS. April 01, 2010. Among the largest Russian automobile enterprises only OJSC KAMAZ essencially increased its production volumes in January 2010.

This conclusion was drawn by OAO ASM-Holding evaluating activities in the domestic automobile industry at the beginning of 2010. On the whole, the Russian truck production continued falling. The truck production volume decreased by 47.4% – to 2174 units in January 2010 (in comparison with January 2009), including the production of foreign models by 22.2% – to 266 vehicles.

According to the data of the holding, in January only KAMAZ managed to considerably (by 57.2%) increase the production volumes having produced 1682 finished trucks.

Bus production in Russia developed slowly in January 2010. The rise in bus production was only at NEFAZ, the subsidiary of OJSC KAMAZ, (+168.8%), and PAZ (+9%). The majority of other bus manufacturers reduced or stopped their production.
