OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2010. Pulkovo Airport finishes the second stage of passenger dataware system modernization program inside the terminals in March.

In the context of the second stage of the program, 17 modern LCDs have been installed at Pulkovo-1. Earlier on its places there were data displays over passenger check-in desks that contained the information only about the number of the flight and final destination.

Thanks to the installation of the new monitors passengers can obtain all necessary information during the check-in: from the full route of the flight specifying all connections till the actual time of check-in end and departure, number of gate where the passenger should go after the preflight security control.

Besides information signs are regularly updated at Pulkovo-1, the end of their installation is planned by the end of the 1st quarter 2010.

In the context of the third stage of the program more than 20 LCDs are planned to be installed at check-in desks at Pulkovo-2.

The updating program of the navigation system inside the terminals is financed at the cost of airport own funds. For this time being more than 2 million rubles have been spent for its realization; the realization of the program started in 2009 and will last until the end of 2010. In the context of the first stage of the program information stands have been installed, information signs and passenger means of information have been partly updated at Pulkovo-1.
