Intourist for the forth year in a row heads the annual business rating of tourism industry “Largest tourist companies of Russia” that is prepared by Tourinfo, the leading information agency. According to the rating, Intourist Group of companies totally gained 93 million rubles in 2009.

President of VAO Intourist Alexander Arutyunov commented: “Despite the objective reduction of the market and recession in demand for tourist services, Intourist managed to maintain its leading position in the Russian tourism market. We are happy to note the increasing number of tourism market participants that are concerned to disclose the results of their activity. Unfortunately, not all tour operators shared their business results which automatically led to disqualification. We are sure that informational transparency of the market players contributes a lot to customers’ satisfaction, increases the confidence in tour operators, and attracts investors to Russian tourism market”.
