OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2010. In the HQ of OJSCB “Kapitalbank” Chairman of the Board – Mr. Normatov met with mission of World Bank headed by Mr. Simon Walley – Housing finance specialist, financial and private sector development and Mr. Eskender Trushin – Economist, Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Unit Europe and Central Asia Region.

During the meeting Mr. Normatov provided the guests with detailed information about strategic development directions of the bank, as well as the goals and objectives for 2010. In turn, guests reported that one of the strategic objectives of World Bank for 2010 is developing of financing housing for people living in rural areas and therefore involvement of local commercial banks to implement them. Also, during the meeting, the parties have exchanged views on the current situation in the banking sector.

Following the meeting the parties agreed for further discussions on the above issues, and in case of interest to establish cooperation in the direction of mortgage lending.
