OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2010. Joint Stock Company “United Aircraft Corporation” [RTS, MICEX: UNAC] announces the one-off reduction of 18.3 billion roubles of its consolidated financial debt. Repayment of the bank loans completes the first phase of the UAC`s program to settle the financial deficit which had been approved by the Board of Directors of UAC.

Following the receipt of the state support measures, UAC has paid down 9.3 billion roubles of its debt to Sberbank and converted another 9 billion roubles of the external debt of its subsidiaries into the long-term zero-interest shareholder’s loans, bringing the consolidated external debt down to 126.5 billion roubles as of to-date.

Earlier on March 23, 2010, Vnesheconombank injected 21 billion roubles into the UAC capital pursuant to the Government’s decision. This made possible the repayment of the bank loans of UAC and its subsidiaries for the amount of 18.3 billion roubles. Another 2.7 billion roubles are reserved to repay UAC’s eurobonds due in July 2010.
