TNK-BP Procures Fuel to Agricultural Sector at Beneficial Prices
OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2010. TNK-BP has started its shipments of fuel at beneficial prices for the agricultural sector. In 2010 the company intends to ship 40,680 tons of petrol and 348,020 tons of diesel fuel to agricultural workers at a discount rate approved by the Government.
The beneficial prices for the agricultural sector is a form of economic and social support in the regions of company’s operations. In 2009 the total amount of fuel price discounts equaled 390 million rubles.
“For many years TNK-BP has contributed to the food supply security of the domestic market by supporting agricultural workers in the regions of the company’s operations. This has helped improve the economic efficiency and secure the stability of agricultural works”, Anatoly Tyomkin, Executive Vice President Staff, Support Services, TNK-BP, said.

TNK-BP is Russia’s third largest oil company, 50% owned by BP and 50% owned by the AAR Consortium (Alfa Group, Access Industries and Renova). TNK-BP also owns close to 50% of another Russian oil and gas company, Slavneft. TNK-BP accounts for approximately 16% of Russia’s production (including its share of Slavneft). SEC proved reserves (life of field basis) were 8.586 billion boe as of December 31, 2009. TNK-BP sold 10.9 million tons of oil products.
