OREANDA-NEWS. March 29, 2010. Belarusian companies’ budget arrears increased 74% in January 2010 to 102.1 billion Belarusian rubles (Br) as of February 1, 2008, told an official with Belarus’ Statistics Committee.

Of all arrears, charged but unpaid VAT amounted to Br 44.9 billion as of February 1, up 58.1% in January alone.

Profit tax arrears amounted to Br 13.9 billion, up 260% in January, and property tax arrears were at Br 9.2 billion, up 90%.

Excise tax arrears reached Br 5.3 billion, up 150% in January, land tax arrears Br 6.8 billion, up 58%, and environmental tax arrears amounted to Br 2.9 billion, up 38%.

Deferred tax payments to the state budget went down 3.1% in January 2010 to Br 263.2 billion.
