OREANDA-NEWS. March 29, 2010. The Ukrainian Commercial Mission to Azerbaijan is satisfied with activity of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Ukraine.

At today’s news conference in Baku Ukrainian trade representative Miroslav Blaschuk said that Azerbaijan’s supplies of energy products and fuel to Ukraine in 2009 reached USD 174 million.

“Another positive fact in 2009 was opening of SOCAR resident office in Ukraine which also plans to buy some tens of petrol stations in this country. In addition, the Azerbaijan-Ukraine Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Co-operation is expected to raise the matter of joint venture between SOCAR and Ukrainian companies on manufacture of oil and gas equipment,” Blaschuk said.
