Record of Power Consumption in UPS of Kazakhstan Updated
OREANDA-NEWS. March 26, 2010. Based on the data of the System Operator National Dispatch Centre (NDC SO) there was a new power consumption record fixed. On 10 February 2010 at 20.00 by Astana time the peak electrical load of 12 442 MW was observed in Kazakhstan UPS. For comparison: consumption during pick hours in the neighbouring countries today made about 7600 MW in Uzbekistan power system and about 2000 MW in Kyrgyzstan power system. The previous peak electrical load in the country was recorded on 25 December 2009 and made 12 315 MW (12 219 MW in 2008).
