OREANDA-NEWS. March 26, 2010. Despite the complicated economic situation, another 157 cottages intended for large families with a total area of 34,100 square metres were built in Moscow last year.

The figures were unveiled by the Department of Urban Development of Moscow at the all-Russian forum and exhibition Goszakaz 2010.

It was also emphasized that the pace of construction was speeded up in comparison with 2008 when 22 cottages having a total area of 4,400 square metres were built in Moscow.

The project aimed at providing large families with convenient homes was launched in Moscow in 2008. The first tenants got keys to the cottages built in Yuzhnoe Butovo township from Mayor Yuri Luzhkov on 20 December 2008.
