OREANDA-NEWS. March 25, 2010. VI International Transport Forum “YugTrans – 2010” was held in the settlement of Kabardinka, Krasnodar Territory on the 18th and 19th of March, 2010. The forum aimed for the search for efficient vectors of transport and logistic complex development of Azov-Black Sea and Caspian basins considering changes concerning world economic crisis and realization of large-scale development and modernization projects of regional transport infrastructure.
Over 120 representatives of state authorities and private companies took part in the “YugTrans – 2010” forum, including head of Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport of the Russian Federation A.A. Davydenko, Minister of Industry and Natural Resources of Astrakhan Region Y.A. Makhashvili, directors of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Novorossiysk (O.A. Boychenko), Taman (S.N. Yakushev), Taganrog (V.B. Filippov) and Tuapse (V.V. Melnikov) branches, as well as heads of seaports’ administrations, logistic, transport companies and agencies functioning in the seaports of Azov-Black Sea and Caspian basins.
During the “YugTrans – 2010” forum questions concerning development of southern Russian ports as large logistic centers in the international transportation system were discussed, possibilities of using of GLONASS in transport sector and for navigation safety in the water areas of the seaports of the Russian Federation were examined, measures for competitive recovery of Russian grain export were reviewed.
