OREANDA-NEWS. March 25, 2010. The Acron subsidiary, North-Western Phosphorus Company (NWPC), responsible for the development of the Oleny Ruchei phosphate deposit, held a board meeting at a construction site in Murmansk Region, where a new ore-dressing and processing complex is being built. The session was chaired by Acron Group president, Ivan Antonov, and concerned the plant’s current construction status and the approval of launch dates for the key manufacturing units. In 1Q2010, Acron has initiated a large-scale funding of the project. The company is set to complete all construction and equipment assembly works at the site by December 2011 and launch the enterprise in May 2012.

Acron regards the project’s high strategic importance. Self-sufficiency in phosphate raw materials should ensure a swifter expansion in the company’s enterprise value and better survivability in the long-term, when phosphate feedstock becomes either less accessible or completely unaffordable.
