OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2010. In accordance with the order of Dmitry Ivanov, the deputy general director of IDGC of Volga, JSC, the director of the branch Chuvashenergo the freshet-prevention commission is created and the plan of actions, directed on maintenance of uninterrupted functioning of electric equipment of substations, trouble-free operation of electric mains, buildings and constructions during high water passage is confirmed.

The list of support of air-lines 6-110 kV, incorporated into a zone of possible flooding and landslip phenomena is made. The freshet commissions are also formed in all production divisions of Chuvashenergo. They should provide interaction with the freshet commissions of cities and areas of the Chuvash Republic, constant operative communication with local meteorological observatory, the control over change of local hydro- and meteorological conditions both with water level in the rivers and reservoirs where there is exists a danger of damage of high-voltage lines’ support and washout of earthen dams.

Moreover the participatory action plan of power specialists with representatives of civil defense and emergency services in a case of emergency situations is developed. Now workers of Chuvashenergo have inspected and repaired devices on all high-voltage lines protecting supports from ice action. Also works on clearing of drainage ditches and trenches, entrances to substations from snow and ice were organized. At present in all industrial branches of Chuvashenergo personnel actions at flooding of the equipment or damage to result of flooding are spent emergency trainings on a theme". On the threshold of a high water through Republic mass media the population notification about danger of approach on boats to wires and support of air lines which is in a zone of flooding will be organized. For a high water round-the-clock watch of under emergency-repairing brigades from among own repair personnel will be organized.
