OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2010. Regular board meeting of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim  was held on March 19, 2010 under the chairmanship of general director of JSC TAIF, the chairman of board of directors OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim  of A. Shigabutdinov.

Board members acknowledged the information about Board of Directors committees’ activities of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim for 2009 – 2010 and board members activities in management bodies of other companies.

The board of directors approved the progress of ecological program implementation of the company for 2007-2015. Since 2005 the total pollutant emissions into the atmosphere decreased by 20 thousand tons. Sanitary water usage reduced by 800 thousand m3, waste water volume reduced by 5 million m3.

Since June 2008 an automated air monitoring system has been in operation: four fixed atmosphere control stations in sanitary protection area and along the perimeter of company’s industrial area have been installed.  Company’s activities for environmental protection meet international standard requirements ISO 14001:2004.

The board of directors acknowledged the information about optimization of reactive power parameters in company’s electric power supply system and about the work of executive management of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim on implementation of anti-crisis programs and activities for 2009.

Board members approved social report of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim for 2009, prepared on the basis of Global Reporting Initiative GRI.
